about me

I became a journalist because I love to tell stories and I’m endlessly curious about the world around me.

I learned about every facet of storytelling at the Newhouse School. Through a vigorous curriculum, a wide circle of talented colleagues and independent passion projects, I learned how to write, edit and use cutting-edge digital tools to bring stories to life. But more importantly, I found stories to tell.

Over the course of my journalism career, I’ve interviewed people from all walks of life. My goal is to use storytelling, even on a small scale, to prompt conversations relating to larger domains – culture, politics, health, business, media, technology – whose trends, innovations and proceedings shape the world we live in.

My curiosity about the world has also steered me toward a wide range of interests – travel, reading, art, movies, hiking and rock climbing. I even served as the secretary of a rock climbing club –if you could only see how little arm strength I possess, you’d know that this is very funny.

Fun Facts, because why not?

  • I love to snowboard in winter.

  • I can make fortune cookies from scratch.

  • I’m secretly fond of bucket hats.

  • I used to be a barista.

  • I once met retired Miami Dolphins player Larry Csonka while I was working as a hostess at a hotel restaurant, and he said I have long arms. I cannot for the life of me remember the context.
